With senior animals, the costs of care can be high. We have bloodwork and exams done on all our rescues and we use heartworm and flea/tick preventative, all this can add up quickly!

How your donations can help:
Feeding our seniors a good single food is important. Older pets cannot tolerate food changes as well as their younger counterparts and changes can cause severe illness. Donations help ensure that we are able to feed all the senior pets in our care with the best food for them.
Veterinary Care
With senior pets, veterinary care is a constant concern and a large part of our expenses. Every time we bring a new senior into our rescue, we have them thoroughly examined and have bloodwork done so we can best assess their situation. Most of them have ongoing expenses as well including medications and heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Donations make this all possible.
Other ways donations help
Not only is food and veterinary care important but also the quality of life we can offer our senior rescues. Items such as dog beds, bedding, shampoos and conditioners, pee pads for our incontinent pets, food supplements and even toys all help them live out their years with the best we can give.

Meet Velvet. She is 11 years old and was completely shut down in the shelter. She would barely even glance at us as we stood by her kennel talking about her so of course we decided we couldn't leave her behind. As soon as she was out of there, she turned into a entirely different dog! Ends up Velvet is a spunky old gal with lots of opinons and a love of a soft bed and being petted. Velvet is currently up for adoption or foster.
