Lucy is about the sweetest dog around! She is not pushy, gets along great with multiple dogs and cats and loves to go on walks. She does pull on her leash like hounds are prone to do but is quickly learning to not and with a little more work should not be a puller for long. She is completely housebroken and an all around easy dog to live with.
She is heartworm positive and is being treated with the slow kill method. Her treatments will be provided for free if adopted or fostered. Lucy also had a mammary tumor removed in early July but has recovered well. She was also being treated for a skin and ear infection so may need to be watched for a recurrence. Lucy was deemed one of the least adoptable dogs due to her health issues so we just had to rescue her and she has proven that we did the right thing and that she has lots of time left to love and be loved!
Adoption Information
Lucy is available for adoption or fostering. She will need to have her heartworm treatments continued (these will be provided by OFSARNOF) and may need skin and/or ear infection treatments if they recur. Lucy will require a well fenced in yard and must never be walked outside a fence without a leash. She does extremely well indoors and gets along with everyone and everything she has been introduced to. Come meet Lucy and fall in love with this sweet old hound!
