Senior Pets are the Best!

Most of our rescues are pulled from the shelter or surrendered when their owners are too sick to care for them any longer. These are wonderful pets who through no fault of their own have fallen on hard times and need our help. It is our life mission to keep as many as possible from dying on cold cement floors in shelters or being abandoned on the streets to fend for themselves as best they can.

Our Mission Statement

Helping Senior Pets is our passion.

The stated mission of the Old Friends Senior Animal Rescue Network of Florida, Inc.:

  • To rescue senior pets and livestock that have been abandoned or become homeless and to care for and house these animals for the rest of their lives through foster families and adoptions.
  • To provide a comfortable, loving and safe environment for senior animals to live out their last years in either a suitable adoption home or a permanent foster home where both have completed applications and been evaluated for the safety of our dogs.
  • To provide all animals in our care with appropriate veterinary care and treatment.
  • To assist senior Florida residents in making a plan for their pets and to help them care properly for their animals when they are unable to do so.
  • To work with our local shelters, other rescues and humane organizations to decrease the number of euthanized dogs and increase the amount of permanent adoption homes.
